  • Unknown - this is the initial state of all mailing list members. This state means that there is no proven information about the recipients existence nor its non-existence.
  • Active - recipient with this status is proven to exist. He/she has either received an email and the tracking image has been displayed in his/her computer providing the proof of existence, or has clicked on a link in an email therefor providing the same proof.
  • Unsubscribed - recipient with this status clicked on the link to unsubscribe from your campaigns.
  • Temporary failure - the campaign email could not been delivery, because the email box is temporarily out of order.
  • Permanent failure - the campaign email could not been delivery, because the email box is permanently out of order.

Importing Mailing Lists

To import your Mailing Lists you can use the CSV file format which is supported by all major applications.

To start the import you first have to create the mailing list by clicking the Add Mailing List button on the Recipients tab. Once your new Mailing List is created enter the Mailing List and click the Import button. You will be presented with the first screen of the import wizard.

Select the file to use for import by clicking the Browse button (the button might appear localised depending on language of your operating system) and click Next.

You will be presented with the import configuration screen. The system tries to auto-detect all the parameters of your CSV file, yet sometime it might be necessary for you to change them manually to get the best results. You can see the actual output below the configuration.

Once the preview of your import shows the correct data, it's time to assign the correct field types to each column. Columns with no assignment will not be imported.

Please keep in mind, that all recipients have an initial status of Unknown and their status will be set once an email from your campaign is delivered to their mailbox.
